A Message from the Outgoing President – Melvin Talley
To IWCS Members: I would like to resign as President. I am in bad health. I am sorry but I realize this is what is best for IWCS. It has been an honor to serve as your President. Wished I could have done more and a better job. Melvin Talley President
Garry Roux, Chairman of the IWCS Nominating Committee, also advises: I talked with president Melvin Talley on August 27. He expressed his continuing health issues with me and the need for him to pass the gavel to the president elect Elaine Hunt. I have therefore notified the IWCS Board of Trustees of his resignation and have received Board approval of the advancement of Elaine Hunt to the office of President of IWCS in accordance with section III.2 of the IWCS By-laws.
Kris Troyer, Secretary Treasurer of IWCS, expresses the thoughts of the IWCS Board of Trustees when she writes: I am saddened by the fact that Melvin has continuing health issues that are causing him to resign, but am pleased to have Elaine as the President Elect, so the gavel may be passed on to her. To Melvin: I wish you the best and hope that you are able to get some relief from your heath issues very soon. It has been an honor to work with you. To Elaine; Congratulations! I have no doubt that you will do a great job. How could you not, with all of these people to help you, just as they have helped me. I could not have done it without them. Thanks again, to all of you for that help, and Elaine, You Go Girl!
