Dear Fellow IWCS Members,
I am happy to become a trustee of the Southwest Region. I was born in a small country in South America but grew up in California, Pennsylvania.
My educational background is in physics and elementary education, which are two very diverse fields. I have been teaching 4th grade science at a small private school in Northern California for the past 23 years.
I became a member of IWCS after buying my first set of wood samples entitled “The North American Wood Collection.” Since then, I have developed lesson plans integrating wood samples with my 4th grade students. I am constantly looking for ideas to share our enthusiasm for wood collecting with the younger generation.
