Chuck has served as the Associate Editor for the World of Wood since 2013 and as the USA North East Regional trustee from 2013 -2015. Dr. Ray is an Associate Professor of Wood and Forest Science at the College of Agricultural Sciences, Pennsylvania State University. He believes in the need to continually learn more about wood in all its aspects and to share this knowledge with the public. On my way back from Pittsburgh in September 2014, I stopped in to meet Earl and Connie Deemer. They live just a couple of hours from me here in Pennsylvania, and have been active IWCS members since the 1980’s. This was my first chance to meet them, and they invited me in for a visit and a look at Earl’s woodworking and carving.
