Elaine Hunt, Honorary Life Member, lives in Inverness, Florida. She was President of the IWCS from 2014 to 2018 and the first woman elected to that position since the beginning of IWCS in 1947. Although several members have served more than one 2-year period as President, Elaine is the only member to have served a total of 5 years back to back in that position. Elaine is also a proud veteran of the US Air Force.
Elaine had hosted the Southeast Regional meetings at Lake Yale, Florida for many years. The meeting moved to Shocco Springs, (Talladega) Alabama in 2024. Due to some unforeseen issues, Elaine volunteered to host this year’s 2026 Southeast Regional meeting at Shocco Springs.
