Chris Cook is a native of Illinois and now lives in Michigan. He earned degrees (BA, MS) from the University of Illinois and worked in academic libraries for fifteen years before becoming a stay-at-home dad and part-timer at a cabinet and millwork shop. Chris joined IWCS in 2021 and finds the society to be an ideal convergence of his interests in geography, nature, woodworking, and collecting. He enjoys collecting woods from diverse geographic origins and Citrus, Pinus, Prunus, and Quercus are among his favorite genera.
