Hello Wood Specimen Collectors

Hello Fellow Wood Specimen Collectors,

Although my current list is much longer than usual, many of the items are what I call onesie-twosie’s, meaning I have only one or two specimens available. Besides field collected items and purchased wood, I have spent the last year going through the remains of two private collections I have acquired in the past several years.

Then I reorganized my shelving to keep from jumping to three different locations to fill orders. This took a (less than fun) full week but will streamline filling orders.
My email provider will not allow more than a small group of recipients, so I have added my current listing to my business website here: https://woodsbygwgreen.com/2015/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Woodlist-Rpt.pdf

The problem is that the list is not automatically updated and the list will be outdated in just a few hours. Please feel free to request my current list to avoid wasting time ordering sold-out items. It takes seconds and saves a lot of wasted time.

Also, a couple years ago I mentioned that I had offered seven sets of about 40 samples each on eBay and sales have been phenomenal. I’m down to five sets and will soon be down to four. Over the years there have been some woods that I have stumbled across that yielded over 300 samples. I hated to think of my heirs having to haul all of these to a dumpster of fireplace so I’ve discounted them and offer free shipping within the US. Here they are: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_dkr=1&iconV2Request=true&_blrs=recall_filtering&_ssn=wood-r-me&store_cat=0&store_name=woodrme&_oac=1&_nkw=wood%20samples

Please order by item number and feel free to approve substitutes in case your first choice is sold out. Example: 3000 or 3001 or 3003, with the latters being glued up or containing bark edges, etc. I will reply to your order so you know I received it. I will fill the orders in the order received at the rate of one or two per evening and send an invoice with payment instructions.

As always, thanks for supporting my obsession,
Gary
