A draft copy of the Bylaws as approved by the Board of Trustees has been posted for your review. A copy of the draft Bylaws will also be published in an upcoming issue of the World of Wood and will be available for comment for two months after the publication date.
Dear Members, you are part of a Society that’s full of life and therefore, changes happen. Apart from meetings you can visit and the private initiatives of our members [in the Members’ Listings and Requests] your Board does not rest on its laurels.
There are regular reports about what we do and in this case, it is a revision of our Bylaws that generally dated from just after 2000, so we thought a revision is in order. Dennis Wilson has on our request, chaired a Committee to study our Bylaws and propose improvements. On the committee were, apart from Dennis: David Munzberg, Jean Sumner, Rick Long and Joey Montagut. Thank you all for your good work and dedication! These improvements have been approved by the IWCS Board and are summarized below. What has been added to or altered is marked in red:
