Update IWCS Southeast Regional Winter Woodfest

Don’t delay sending in your meeting registration, Lake Yale has a new rule change.
“3 Business Days before Event: A surcharge fee of $25 per person per “Event Day”, which is defined as the stay from check-in to check-out, will be assessed if new attendees are added less than 3 business days prior to the event”. All balance must be paid before keys are administered.
I won’t be able to guarantee a room or meals for anyone that does not notify me that they are coming, before the three days prior to the meeting. All I need is names, days attending and/or meals.
Thanks, Elaine

Volunteers have come forward to do classes, demos and a workshop, but we can always use more. If you have a talent and would like to share your knowledge with others, contact Rick. So far the lineup consist of:

Joe Sanders will be demonstrating the Rose Engine

Bill Calderwood turning the Celtic Knot

Chris Nothnagle will have his workshop on the Famous Unknown

Sharon Baiardi will be back and the class will be making an Easter Basket

Tom Bundza will have a demo and class on the Ringmaster

Duane Keck will have a Wood ID and Latin Name Quiz

Rhonda Long’s session will be on Sand Luminaries and Grapevine Wreaths.

The meeting is in need of a large lathe. If you live nearby and can bring yours call Rick.

Ed Bryant will bring his Wood-Mizer sawmill. John Burris and Dan Collom will be running the WoodMizer and Selling the Outside Wood.

There will be a Wood Auction on Thursday, so come prepared to load up your vehicle.

On Wednesday evening there will be a Craft Auction. Remember that items for the auction are to be hand crafted, homemade, woodworking tools and exceptional or rare wood.

Don’t forget to bring your crafts to display in the auditorium. We have visitors that would love to see your beautiful craftsmanship and so would our members. Let’s fill the auditorium with the beautiful wood.

Lake Yale, www.lybcc.com, is on 289 wooded lakeside acres in central Florida, USA. Hotel style rooms, Maguire Auditorium which includes classrooms, cafeteria and sawmill are all within walking distance.

Come join us and make new friends, see old friends and enjoy all the meeting has to offer.
